Also known as the Itty bitty teenie weenie tiny turkey leg-areenie in my vocabulary.
This has stemmed from my Thanksgiving Turkey Leg rattle I made. As with all gifts, but especially those for infants, it was given with the understanding that it would certainly look cute for a picture but that any other expectations would set me up for disappointment. Luckily, I was in for a treat. She actually likes it! Past gnawing on it during Thanksgiving dinner, it still remains one of her favorites.
So of course, as the self proclaimed top made by me toy for 2023, it will naturally be an excellent Christmas tree ornament for 2024! It’s the same pattern as the regular rattle, but made with a 1.5 mm hook and Aunt Lydia’s Classic 10 in Fudge and Natural.
Downsides: despite being much smaller than the original, as an annoyingly tight crocheter, this one still takes me 8 hours. Upsides: it’s pretty stinking cute, and is small enough to take to work so I can make progress during lunch.
